# Collaborative Sessions

Run a live metaphorical-card session online with another person. Start on any deck, share a link, and work on the same board together — in real time. Your client joins in one click, with no account.

**What is a collaborative card session?** It lets a therapist, coach, or facilitator run a live metaphorical-card session online with someone else. The host starts a session on any deck, shares a link, and both people work on the same board in real time — moving, flipping, and arranging cards together. The guest joins instantly, with no registration.

## How it works

From your own screen to a shared table in a few seconds.

1

### Start a session

Open any deck, choose your cards, and start a session as you normally would.

2

### Turn on Collaborate

Open the Collaborate panel and set what your guest is allowed to do on the board.

3

### Share the link

Copy the invite link and send it to your client. They enter a name and join — no sign-up.

4

### Work together

You both see the same table in real time — cards, cursors, and the timer stay in sync.

## What each person sees

One shared board, two clear roles.

The host — you

### You lead the session

- Control the timer or stopwatch for both of you.
- Set and change what the guest can do, at any moment.
- See who's in the room and their online status.
- Share the invite link, or end the session in one click.
- Resume a live session later from your dashboard.

The guest — your client

### They join in one click

- Open your link, enter a name — no account, no download.
- See the same board and your cursor as it moves.
- Do exactly what you allow — and nothing more.
- A gentle banner shows they're in a session, with a Leave button.
- If you step away, they simply wait until you're back.

## You decide what your client can do

Granular permissions you can change on the fly. By default a guest can move cards, but can't select, flip, or remove them until you allow it.

## The shared board

A calm, open workspace — like a table you both sit at, from anywhere.

**Move cards freely**

Drag, flip, rotate, resize, and remove cards. Every position is the same for both of you.

**Matrices & spreads**

Lay a background template under the cards to structure the work.

**A cursor that points true**

Your partner's named cursor is pinned to the board, so it points at the same card no matter how either of you has zoomed.

**See what's being touched**

When someone picks up a card, it softly highlights — so you follow each other naturally.

**Focus mode**

Hide the site header and let the board fill the whole screen for deeper work.

**Your own zoom & pan**

Zoom into your own area without disturbing the shared layout of the cards.

## Built to be dependable — and private

- **Nothing gets lost.** The board is saved continuously on the server, so a reload or a dropped connection simply reconnects to the same state.
- **No account for guests.** Clients join through a single-use invite link — one guest per session — and never need to register.
- **You stay in control.** Only the host manages the timer and permissions, and only you can start or end the session.
- **The work is kept.** When you end a session, its final state is saved like any other session in your history.

## Who it's for

Anyone who works with images and wants the other person to touch the cards, not just watch.

**Therapists**

Bring metaphorical cards into online sessions and let clients place them themselves.

**Coaches**

Explore goals, values, and blocks visually with a remote client, in real time.

**Facilitators**

Run reflective, image-based work one-to-one from anywhere.

## These aren't Tarot cards

Metaphorical associative cards carry no symbolic system, no divination, and no "correct" reading. A card doesn't predict anything — it simply reflects whatever each person brings to it. That's what makes them a gentle, pressure-free tool for reflection, now shared live between two people.

## Common questions

Does my client need an account to join?

No. Guests join through your invite link by entering a name — no registration and no download. Only the host needs to be signed in.

Can I control what my client does with the cards?

Yes. Before and during the session you choose whether the guest can select, move, flip, remove, or reveal cards — and you can change these permissions at any time.

Is this the same as Tarot?

No. Metaphorical associative cards have no fixed meanings and no divination. A card simply mirrors what a person brings to it, rather than predicting anything.

What happens if my connection drops?

Nothing is lost. The board is saved continuously, so when you return the session reconnects to the same state. Your guest waits on a gentle "waiting for host" screen until you're back.

Is it really real time?

Yes. Card moves, selections, cursors, and the timer stay in sync for both people as you work on the same board.
